The Centre currently has 48 professors who have over 20 years of training through practicing in the community clinic.
CEDEHC is a founding member and current president of the People's Community Health Council, SC.
The Diplomas and Short Courses offered are a direct response to the health needs of the community. The Centre's goal is to enable communities to preserve and improve health through nutrition, exercise, knowledge of medicinal plants and other natural therapies, and in so doing, participate in their own treatment and healing.
SHORT COURSES
The short courses, like diploma courses, aim at academic excellence. Some are focused on enhancing knowledge of a particular subjects, others focus on solving
short-term health problems, and others are specializations. All courses are taught with textbooks which contain scientific information about each subject.
DIPLOMAS
The graduate level diploma courses have been taught for over 15 years and are continually updated to ensure academic quality and accurate content. They are taught in weekly sessions, of about four hours each, and range from 1 year to 1.5 years. The diploma courses are designed as modules, with each module broken down into hours for practice, theory and lab work/pharmaceutics.
